Explore the evergreen forests of Bach Ma, one of Central Vietnam’s classic birding sites, for Crested Argus, partridges, hornbills, pittas, laughingthrushes, and other Annamite forest specialties. Private departures can start from Hue, Da Nang, or Hoi An, or other locations on request. 

Travel up to the mountain summit provides access to high-altitude trails, understory hides, and prime mid-elevation habitat. Access conditions can change; we confirm the current park route before departure.

Itinerary

To maximize target species, we offer both a 2-day option and an expanded 3-day option:

• Day 1 (L, D): Transfer to Bach Ma

Pick-up from your hotel (Hue/Da Nang/Hoi An), followed by a 2-hour drive to Bach Ma. Afternoon birding in the summit area, followed by an evening owling session. Overnight at Bach Ma Villa.

• Day 2 (B, L, D): Full-day birding around the summit area

Option 1 (2-day tour): Return to your hotel in Hue or Da Nang/Hoi An in the late afternoon. Tour ends.

Option 2 (3-day tour): Stay overnight at Bach Ma Villa for one more night.

• Day 3 (B, L): Half-day birding

Morning birding at mid-elevation forest levels, descending to the foothills for lunch. Afternoon birding along the park boundary before your private transfer back to Hue, Da Nang, or Hoi An concludes the tour.

• Single supplement: USD 120
• Includes: Bird guide, transportation by private car, accommodation (shared twin room), daily meals, and drinking water. Also provides a birding spotting scope and a bird ID manual.
• Excludes: Optional tipping and personal expenses (beverages, laundry, etc).
