In order to help out those who don't have enough time to go on an overnight tour, we do offer full-day or just one-morning birding in the area around Ho Chi Minh City.

Itinerary:

Pick up at the hotel in the early morning, drive outside Ho Chi Minh City center to visit some grassland/swamps/wetlands where we can find Munias (White-headed, Scaly-breasted, Chestnut, White-rumped), Prinias (Yellow-bellied, Plain), Tailorbirds (Ashy, Common, Dark-necked), Kingfishers (White-throated, Collared, Common) and many waterbird species like Egrets, Herons, Bitterns, and Cormorants. During the winter, we can also see some migratory visitors such as Reed Warblers.

After birding for awhile, we will find a coffee spot for our take-way breakfast.

After our breakfast break we will bird a bit more until 11:00 am, and then drive to Ho Chi Minh City botanical garden, where we will have lunch. Then, after a bit of rest, we will walk through the gardens, where we'll see several free-flying birds, including Red-breasted Parakeet, Streak-eared Bulbul, Common Iora, Coppersmith Barbet, Malaysian Pied Fantail, Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker, Sunbirds (Ornate and Brown-throated). Some wintering species like flycatchers, drongo, minivet, thrush are also possible here.

We will take you back to your hotel around 4:00 pm.

• Includes: Bird guide, transportation by private car, lunch, drinking water and entrance fees. Also provide birding spotting scope, bird ID manual.
• Excludes: Personal expense (e.g., beverage, laundry), tipping for guide and driver (optional but appreciated).
